Similar to Roman law, the U.S. Congress functions as a sort of "People's Court. " It has the authority to impeach and remove federal officials, including the President, for misconduct. Congress also plays a key role in overseeing the electoral process by certifying the results of the Electoral College, thereby approving the current or future President's "Dominion." This process ensures that leadership is held accountable and that the election outcome is officially recognized.
